Alpha Ireland at the World Meeting of Families
The Alpha Youth team had great fun in the teen Global Village at the International Congress of the WMOF, here are Annette, Beth and Amanda with Cardinal Tagle of The Philippines (a fan of Alpha!). We also ran a stand in the RDS hall and built many connections with Parishioners, missionaries and  priests from around Ireland. It's fantastic to see how much everyone loves Alpha. Central to our mission were spreading the word about The Marriage Course and The Parenting Children and The Parenting Teenagers Courses - it's great to see so much interest in our resources - we love serving you with the gift of Alpha however we can.
After the WMOF, the Youth Team have hit the ground running and Alpha is taking place  27 schools so far this term with more starting in the Spring. Working alongside Theresa Cronin in Cork, we now have a new Regional Youth Coordinator, Deirdre Lightbody. In August, 3 dedicated Mission Team workers joined us in Cork, the Midlands and Dublin/Leinster. Come and meet the rest of the team on our Alpha Youth Website!

Alpha Growing Nationwide
Another exciting development is the appointment of Clodagh Gallagher as Alpha Diocesan Coordinator in Waterford & Lismore.  Clodagh is working alongside Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan to support parishes and schools across Waterford as they launch Alpha. She has hit the ground running and, to date, there are 3 new courses in schools, as well as 2 in Waterford City, with a further 10 parish courses planned in the Diocese. We are so thrilled to welcome Clodagh to the Alpha Ireland team!
A New Season
In October, our National Director, Peter Rigney, moved on to new opportunities having served faithfully in this role for 5 years. All of us in Alpha Ireland, staff, Board of Management and the many volunteers and supporters of Alpha are going to miss Peter's zeal and enthusiasm, and wish him well for the future. Dominic Perrem, who was our Living Faith Coordinator, is the Interim National Director. You can find out more about our whole team on our website, and contact us anytime!
